Sicilian Sunrise

Sicilian Sunrise is citrus with its sleeves rolled up. Where most lemon colognes are sweet, this one is green and a little bitter, like zest grated over a plate of tomatoes and torn basil.

Lemon and grapefruit open sharp, and basil gives them a savoury edge that is the whole point of the perfume. Lavender and sage take over in the heart and keep it aromatic rather than floral, and it dries down to a dry, slightly smoky vetiver.

Worn best in the morning and in heat. It suits people who find most fresh perfumes too polite. An eau de toilette with about five hours on skin.
